Actually what happens, when a person is deep sleeping, their muscles of the upper part of the mouth, throat and tongue start relaxing. These relaxing muscles start vibrating during the breathing process. Breathing is a continuous process. The logic behind the sound of snoring in this condition is that when muscles are relaxed and at the same time when a person breathes, an obstruction occurs. Air is unable to pass smoothly due to hanging of muscles. Every time air passes through the relaxed muscles noise occurs. This noise is called the sound of snoring. This sound keeps increasing, which results in loud sound.

Extra weight is also one of causes of snoring. Actually fatty people have excess skin around the neck and throat. This excess skin alters shape of the neck, which directly leads to snoring problem. This extra fat has one more disadvantage. It weakens muscles of the nasal passage that increases snoring in people. So, if you are fat and have a habit of snoring, start opting for weight reducing measures. Your extra fat in the body is only the reason of snoring.
